EUB Due Diligence and Design:


Background and Relevance:

Leading major bank in Europe. Syner selected IB platform for Client Onboarding, Designed Target State, Detailed User Journeys and Requirements. Relevance: Knowledge of IB Platform, Business Analysis, Data Models, Data Integration

Challenges & Objectives:

▪The Australian Bank’s business banking segment was assessed by Australian banking regulatory body APRA
▪ Two of the improvement suggested were in the midmarket business lending area
▪ Reduce manual steps in the mid-market loan origination process
▪ Have an automated mechanism for visibility and tracking of mid-market loan applications
▪ Syner proposed EUB, a client lifecycle management solution, as a tool for client onboarding as a part of the Bank Business Transformation Program
▪ The bank decided to leverage EUB as the platform for the mid-market loan origination and engaged Syner for the Due Diligence and design 


Approach:

▪ Syner led the Due Diligence and design of EUB for mid-market origination system over a 6 month period
▪ For Due Diligence, 30+ stakeholders were interviewed and 10+ interfacing systems were analysed. Deliverables were a EUB Due Diligence Output Document and detailed list of features to be developed in EUB
▪ As part of the high level Design for Mid Market Loan Origination following were design deliverables –
▪ User journeys, epics and features
▪ Integrated data model for loan origination with the bank’s MDM solution
▪ High level solution architecture (including AWS cloud architecture for EUB hosting)
▪ Integration register for the APIs required for end to end loan origination solution
▪ Project execution is currently under build and implementation phase


Benefits & Outcome:

▪ The EUB solution designed for mid-market origination would provide following benefits –
▪ assist in the APRA regulatory compliance
▪ reduce around 200+ manual steps in the mid-market loan origination solution
▪ Provide a single-pane-of-glass for the originating and tracking the mid-market applications process
